Nice job Stan. I may have to start visiting the board again. There used to be some pretty spirited and enthusiastic threads in the past..

We might want to think about reinstating them in the future, if we can get the team members to sign up again in this new board, and if there still is any interest in the games. Sdr46 Hi If there are some team places available I'd like to be considered/involved

Okay, which one of you clowns saw fit to "Smite" down my karma? Don't you know that the Lorax represents all that is good and decent in the world of thneeds?
I must say though, it's an interesting - albeit rather arbitrary - feature of this message board. Where's the oversight committee when you need it!!!

Well done Stan. I had some difficulties registering since my username (The Ancient Brit) was rejected. I tried a number of experiments and eventually theancientbrit was accepted. The odd thing is I can log in as The Ancient Brit

S’mae Johnny 5,
I have been curious about the Karma thing also. Some years ago, I had a friend who was a Hindu. We were both bus drivers at the time. I asked him if he believed in Karma and he said he did. He told me Karma was what decided we would be in this life, depending on what we had done in previous lives. I asked him what did he think we had done in a former life that had brought us back as bus drivers. He said he didn’t know, but it must have been something dreadful.
Cheers. The Ancient Brit.

Hi Denis,
Thanks for that. Do you know anything about the karma on here? I can change yours but not my own by either 'Exalt' or 'Smite' if I 'Exalt' you then your karma goes up 1 point and if I 'Smite' you then it goes down 1 point!
I am going to 'Exalt' you for your explaination Denis, thanks :-)

Didn't we have a team coordinator who was in charge of the collaborative games?
If we still have one, perhaps he can put the teams back together.

I'm happy to see the message board back. One question, though. Is there a link anywhere on this board that will take one back to the Stan's NetChess homepage? Just thinking that would be useful.
