Sorry for the long outage without a Message Board.
I had to abandon the other board due to security concerns.
This service looks good. Similar to the board we used to have.
For now, I'm just going to have this "General" forum. I don't know if we really need to have as many as we used to.

No - I will not be able to transfer any old threads, and it does not look like they allow personal avatars (pics) here.

Whoops... sorry - there is a way for you to have an avatar... click on the "Profile" link up in the header of this page, then click on Modify Profile. There are many options there.

Is there any way that you would be able to let everybody know that the new board is up and running?
For example, put a message on the screen after you make a move.
By the way, I do like this new board, it's [glow=blue,2,300]COOL!!![/glow]

Johnny5 - I did put a notice in the news section of the post-move page yesterday.
SDR45 - what do you want for a collaborative setup? I mean - what kind of structure? I guess we'll have to assign the captains as moderators.

The mention of the new message board was too small for me to even notice it, until I saw you mention it here.
Previously, each collaborative team was set up with its own thread that only its team members were able to be part of, and contribute to. That is where decisions of moves were made.

I just noticed that both games of Team Chess 1 vs. Team Chess 2 have been forfeited (one by each team). I guess since we had all lost the ability to communicate with each other as the message board was down, the games just withered away by themselves.
We might want to think about reinstating them in the future, if we can get the team members to sign up again in this new board, and if there still is any interest in the games.

I can reactivate the forfeited team games when we get confirmation that people are still interested.
We'll have to recreate the teams. I don't have a list of the team members, but I might be able to dig it out of the old system.
