Tournament Update

We are just making some final checks on the enhanced tournaments. We had a huge turnout for the NetPlayers Tournament and will have 45 divisions!! There are 448 players registered for this tournament.

Due to the large numbers of players that have registered its taking us a little longer than expected to launch these tournaments. We expect that we will launch the netPlayers and the Site Championship tonight. We will probably launch the Swiss Tournaments tomorrow -- 410 registered for the Open Swiss so its another big one.

Sorry for the slight delay. My fun job last night was coming up with 45 Division names LOL. SO if you are in a division with a stupid name -- learn to live with it LOL.

Just a quick update:

Stan and I have decided to be very careful before launching the NetPlayers Tournament. In total it will generate around 2,025 games.

The tournament is all set and ready to go. You can see all the players, divisions and who will play who in which round, here:

We could have launched all the games with a push of a button. However, its getting close to midnight here and Stan and myself decided to hold off actually launching the games themselves until tomorrow (Wednesday Evening January 18 at about 8:00pm). That way if there are any issues we will not be pulling an all-nighter fixing them.

Sorry for the slight delay, but better safe than sorry.

In the mean time you can go and search through 448 names across 45 divisions to find which division you are in and who you are playing.

BTW, a quick way to find your division is just to do a "Find" on your name in your browser once you have the page up.
