Screen problem with a laptop

Hi,

I just bought a 50" LCD Tv and i want to use it to play, but whenever i start batocera with the hdmi plugged in, the screen doesnt show up in the way that it should.

it shows just the half of the interface in the laptop screen and nothing but a white screen in the TV. is there anything i can do to fix this?

Any idea?
