Any advantage to 4x8GB over 2x16GB dimms?

Hi,

I am building a pc and wondering if there is any negatives to choosing 4x8GB over 2x16GB dimms?

2x16GB is cheaper and takes up less spots for future upgrade but is it as accessible to the system as 4x8GB?

Quad Channel DDR 4. with optane ssd and an i9.

Any advice for dumb question much appreciated.
