What has happened to Stan's Net?

I've just returned to this site after a 5 year hiatus, and it looks like a chessic zombie land. Only a few of the players I knew are still here, Tournaments that were created 5-6 years ago are still in the sign up stage, Challenge Central is almost a barren wasteland. Stan's Net was the first on-line chess site I ever joined, and it's sad to see that it is now just a shell of its former self.

I also just went back to Stan's after about 5 years, seems my last game ended on July 2010. And I also noticed the site seems pretty dead, ancient tournaments still waiting for registrations and only about 20 names in the subscribers list.

I remember BOD1969, we played several games during 2000-2001..wow, has it really been 15 years. Weren't you also called BattleOfDenial earlier?

Anyway, what happened to the site? Where did everyone go?





...also, I haven't played a single game in 5 years, so I'm bound to be very rusty and not even close to what my rating used to be. But feel free to throw me a challenge, if you don't mind winning.
