New 8 man tournament,

I am in the process of starting a new tournament, so far i have 6 players and would like to use this message board to keep track of the results and fixtures.

The format is 8 players, 7 rounds.   The top 4 qualify for the semi finals and compete in a straight knockout for the Stans Netchess Challenge Cup.
The bottom 4 qualify for the semi finals and compete in a straight knockout for the Stans Netchess Challenge Shield.

If this tournament is considered to be successful then it is my aim to expand into an English FA Cup Style tournament for the future.

I will be making the first round draw in the next few minutes and posting it on the board.

I'm requesting the 10 participants who are seeded for the 1st round of the tournament to use the the email icon on my player page and contact me. Mick (Findlay, BOD, etc), the TD has need of them to notify the participants of all particulars regarding all aspects including results. In lieu of email connectivity participants will have to be advised of tourney progress via the message board.

you will get sent an email, if your named first, you must arrange the game, if your names second then you will receive a challenge.
