Is there any info on the site for guidelines for players describing their skill level. I have described myself as a Novice-2. I don't know any openings by heart except the first say three moves of a half a handful, and I don't know the ideas behind the openings nor any main lines. I have never done any endgame training, and have just started reading my first chess book,. Chernev's Logical Chess. I started on a tactics server a month or two ago, and have done about 300 simple tactics puzzles, and haven't been very good at them. I hang pieces, and often move much more quickly than is required to make good moves. When I move slowly, I often don't look at all the candidate moves, and even when I look at more than one candidate move, I often have no way of evaluating which is better or worse, unless its obvious. However, I still consider myself pretty careful in making my moves, even tho I could be, like 1000 times more careful and more thorough,m especially. Hoiw are people on here rating themsleves re skill level. When does one become Intermediate, for example.

I choose level 3 of 5, as I am halfway in my OTB club's ladder.
