Me too! I see my games more as opportunities to chat with my opponents about life, the universe, and occasionally chess! Those players who want 'heads down' grunt & groan games with no chat, not for me! :-) Just wish Stan allowed more space for such messages. An integrated spell checker might help too! BTW Stan; I still don't understand why you insert spaces into 'normal' URLs

Blockhead - Can you show me an example of where a URL had a space inserted? Tell me a game number please if you can.
Regarding the length of the messages - There have been over 30 million moves made at the site, so allowing bigger comments could really increase the space used in the database.

If you are a subscriber I think you can use your own personal message center to chat. I think the message center has just a little more space to chat. Not sure, maybe I'm wrong. You can put your personal message center on your page through editing if your a subscriber. Good luck. :0)

I have used the text chat www.stansco.com/netchess/chat.htmlon occasion. It seems that the default Stan's chatroom has moved , as the URL gives a notification about this; luckily, the hyperlink provided on that page does work. I think that this feature is probably as much used now as it ever has been, given the amount of traffic on the site.
