Just wondering, what's the point of this?
Seems that these three are the same guy: willyGS ragingwilly FLASHGORDON
Why do I think so? The first two have the same email ;D (3rd doesn't show it)
They seem to make moves at a same time and have games against the same opponents with consecutive game numbers.
Games 334177-79 against woz Games 334025-27 against Gandhi Mangler Games 333989-91 against Tem Games 333928-30 against Teebers Games 333867-69 against Sparkey Games 333855-87 against ALSKI 11

S'mae (Hi) Tem.
One of the clues to such players is as you have pointed out, the simultaneous arrival of moves. I have had the experience of playing two apparently different opponents where the moves always arrived simultaneously and always, in a one day a move game with a thirty day forfeit time, at an interval of twenty-nine days.
I now limit my games to a three day forfeit time to avoid the annoyance I feel with such time wasters. There is nothing wrong with a twenty-nine day move response, but please, not in a game where the agreed move rate is one move per day.
Denis. The Ancient Brit.

I don't see any problems in one player having multiple accounts at this site, as long as he is not using them for inflating or deflating his rating by creating games between his different identities. I believe using several accounts is not against the guidelines of Stan's. Probably a likely reason one strong player could use 2 or more accounts is to experiment unusual openings or style of play. There might be other reasons as well, including using chess software for one of his accounts, and playing "fair" with the other.
Some correspondence chess sites require that a player registers and plays with his real name. Stan's has more friendly and "unofficial" flavour, and using multiple accounts should not be much of a problem.
The fact mentioned by The Ancient Brit about the 29-day movers is definitely annoying, but it is a different type of issue, not related to players using multiple accounts...One way to deal with it is changing the F/T rules, as 30 day for 1 move is way too generous in my opinion. I don't think there are more than a few players here who move so rarely for objective reasons. I can never accept a player having 50-100 games going on at the time and moving the day before forfeit in each of them. He is having fun maybe, but his opponents do not.

Yeah, I have to agree. I've got over 2000 games played on Stans and I have never thought of starting another account. It would be insane at this point as I have been playing as knightmonger only since shortly after Y2K. What would be the point. Most of the individuals in the Top 100 lists are well known to us all at this point. I think I have played most everyone at least once. I tend to yap at times as do many people while sending moves and have built pseudo-friendships with many players here. (along with my actual physical friends: gandi mangler, threetimesb, knight stalker and patzeric). I think most people who have been around for awhile would really hate the embarrassment of others finding out they have multiple accounts. This logic of course doesn't apply to newbies who might want to make a reputation for themselves as a prolific player. I think most of us "veterans" at Stans would notice some upstart darting up the Top 100 lists out of the blue too. It's certainly easy enough to look at game histories for patterns and frequency of play. Some people are stupid tho.
