S’mae (Hi) all, There is a story concerning the sending of a deep space probe with examples of life on earth in the hope the probe might be found by alien life forms. A number of examples of earth life were selected and the question of music arose. The music of Johann Sebastian Bach (JSB) was proposed but after consideration, this was rejected because the alien life form might think that earth people were showing off! Judge for yourself because starting today (16th of December 2005) the BBC (British Broadcasting Corporation) Radio Three (Beeb 3) will be broadcasting the entire surviving works of JSB Since JSB was a prolific composer the project will require ten days to broadcast the two hundred so hours of music and will last until Christmas Day. Full listings of the works and times are online and in downloadable format on the BBC Radio 3 home page. The page includes many items of interest concerning JSB and his music. The following link should take you there. Denis. The Ancient Brit. www.bbc.co.uk/radio3/bach/

Thanks for that TAB, nice one!
Earlier in the year the BBC also produced (IMO very successfully!) all the known work of LV Beethoven. I welcome the opportunity to hear more JSB too!
