I don't know what to say really. I am playing OTB once a fortnight in a private competition and they are all better than me, so I have to improve just to make the games last.
To win eight games may or may not indicate a gap in class. Actually, I was very lucky to win one game which I had lost and just going through the motions (first game) and I nearly offered a draw in another as I could not see a way through. So I was lucky to win them all so far.
Who makes the first blunder and then I have to both spot the blunder and take advantage of it properly? And sometimes I mucked it up and blundered through to victory. I doubt if the moves were sound even under elementary analysis. I am sure they are not. I daren't go through the games again to find out.
I need more than a pawn if I want to win an end game.

I got off to a flyer in my division - Bronze - as I was in particularly sparkly form (by my standards) at the start of the year. My game is tailing off a bit at present, so I'm just hoping to hold on.
One slightly disappointing aspect is that a number of games in my division where agreed as draws very early, with players saying stuff like "just got too many games on the go, draw?".
Just seems a shame to me.

I remembered a game (which I won) when I thought a draw was the likely outcome, but I did not want a draw after under 20 moves. I do not even think about until 20 moves have been played.
Then I found this:
Sophia rules, where draw offers are not allowed before move 30. Also used by the HB Global tournament. This method does reduce the short draws, but if both players trade off pieces, they can essentially agree to a draw, without a draw offer.
