it depends on the player i would think, but some players probably don't accept draws no matter who they're playing against, because they're hoping their opponent will make a mistake and lose. they're probably the same players who play on in a hopeless position, as was discussed in the Etiquette & Doomed topic. (i would insert a link to that topic here, but i don't know how to do that yet)

Why is it some people are worried about THERE Points against a none rated player and wont accept a draw? Is it because They think just because there playing a non rated player that they cant play. Grow Up. People. nightmare, I'm curious! Given you have no ongoing games here on SNC (unless you play under another name), and that you forfeited the one and only game you started; how come this issue (and others on this MB!) has attracted your attention? Why not try to gain some insight by playing a few games on this site before diving in and making somewhat rash and ill-considered assertions; about the site in general, and some players in particular?!

It is obvious he plays with another name at the site.
This message board is totally separate from the site. It is only a matter of time before we have people registered here with handles different from those they use on the site, and thus completely anonymous. Or, worse, people who take someone else's "identity".

Blockhead. One does not need to play on this site to observe it. One learns more sometimes by just being an observer. nightmare, On SNC, a game of chess, in most circumstances, drawn by mutual consent of both players. Irrespective of SNC grades, the rationale of the players concerned, whether they accept or reject a draw, a matter solely for their discretion, not yours, not mine, theirs! Observation is usually based on reflective focussed attention. As a somewhat disconnected activity it does not of itself lead on to knowledge and understanding. Generally speaking, observation relies on 'distance' . It is a passive undertaking. In relation to this SNC MB, you have not been passive, nor have you remained a detached observer! You have posted fairly frequently, and many of your posts have been muddled, confused, immature, contentious, and mischievous. For the most part they have been simple one liners! Rather than risking playing chess on SNC you seem more content in playing provocative 'head games'. Hardly the stuff of observation! If you don't feel able to engage with others in a positive and constructive fashion then many here, such as myself, will rightly suspect your motives. Rather than continue your mischief making why not use your energies, such as they are, to play a game or two? Alternatively why not really passively observe and make no further contribution on this MB until such time as such comment regarded by SNC players as having some value? # Stan, Have you any control over those who visit this MB? It would take only one or two miscreant spoilers to mess up the site. Firm and appropriate action now might prevent the site sliding into chaos later. Most of us want a progressive and thoughtful MB where SNC players can swap ideas which revolve around the game of chess and those who of us who play it. # yassen, Thanks for your reply. I'd hate to think your 'worse' prediction might be realised.

blockhead,
I do have ability to ban and delete people from the message board, but it take 10 seconds for them to create another account and make even more trouble. Being chased around is just what they are looking for.
The best thing to do is just ignore people that you don't want to deal with. I have been disappointed with some of the remarks from nightmare, but I think he is just trying to have fun in his own way and he really hasn't been attacking anyone. I know he made a couple of border-line comments to Yassen, but it seemed more playful than anything.
Everyone is assuming he isn't playing at the site. I don't know why. When people sign up at the message board they can choose any name they want. I assume he is playing at the site - just under a different name.
