Pleased to meet you, Mr. Pollard! Yes, unlike everyone else, whom you have already met on the site, you and I are not on a first-name basis.
Your query took me aback, because although you and I have exchanged private messages, I have verified our current conversation is located in the publically readable General Board in the topic of "Stans Netchess Challenge Trophy." But perhaps I am mistaken, and somehow missed some signifier that this particular thread is private? If this is indeed the case, then please forgive my response, which in the light of a private query is over harsh--I don't mind sharing personal information privately, and I do appreciate your having created the competition.
On the main Stan's NetChess site, you will find my user profile data as the player named Comet. As is allowed, I have chosen to use the same name, to facilitate readers of the message board being able to review my games and other player information, to know me better.
I see you are on Facebook, but you have your privacy settings to make your home page not viewable by non-Facebook members. I am unwilling to join Facebook, as it would put me violation of their user policy requiring that one register with one's legal name, and Facebook's registration web form rejects my name. I am professionally disinclined to commit fraud, to obtain your personal data protected by requirement of having an account on Facebook, so I lack the undoubtedly pleasant information about yourself which you have chosen to share on that platform.
I am a mononymous person. Thank you for introducing yourself. In time, as we see what we choose to share, we shall grow to know one another better. I look forward to the continuation of this process.
Sincerely,
Comet
