JDE found that if you make a post, it shows on the first page when it is new for you. I think we knew that. Thanks for trying to help anyway John.
I found a feature in the Admin section of the board that allowed me to "fix" a board. I ran it against this General Board and it seems to have fixed the sort order. We'll have to keep an eye on it.

By the way... the three threads that are showing near the top with old dates are threads that have had messages delete from. I think that is why they are showing sorted up there.
In fact... I think I might have just realized what was happening... John recently deleted his Bellesbabe account and all of the messages that he had posted with it. I think that is why all of the old threads were showing at the top. I think when a message is delete from a thread, it makes the thread go to the top of the board, but keeps the lastest post date as the last activity date.

I'm sorry you don't understand what I am saying, but the problem started when you deleted many of your other accounts at the message board (bellesbabe, nightmare, phantom ghost...)
The utility that allows me to "fix" a board apparently marks the threads so that they sort by the last post date, rather than the last activity date. There appears to be a last activity date that we can't see. The fix makes the last activity date equal to the last post date, so the sort order appears correct again.
